Alvin Richard Huss, Jr., age 55, of 2430 Arcadia Heights Rd. in Lincolnton died Monday, July 7, 2014.
A graveside service will be at 11:00a.m.Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Daniel’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. Pastor Mike Collins will officiate. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
Mr. Huss was born November 12, 1958 in Lincoln County. He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Richard Huss, Sr. He was an Eagle Scout. Mr. Huss graduated from Lincolnton High School and Appalachian State University. Upon his graduation he worked in Real Estate. He later worked in lawn landscaping. Richard loved hunting arrowheads, Indian artifacts, and traditions of the Cherokee Indian nation.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Yoder Huss of Lincolnton; sisters, Carol H. Wise of Lincolnton, Susan H. Boyd of Iron Station and Kate H. Link of Lincolnton; and nieces and nephews.
