Mr. Gary Lee "Spud" Beam, age 48, of Vale, departed this life Wednesday, July 16, 2014. He is safe in the arms of his Savior, and we rejoice for him.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2014, at Hulls Grove Baptist Church-West with Rev. Marcus Redding and Rev. Jared Webb officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2014, at Hulls Grove Baptist Church.
Gary was the loving son of Nancy Sain Beam and the late Max Lee Beam. He was the devoted husband of Andrae Hines Beam to whom he was married for twenty-five years, celebrating his anniversary on the day of his passing. Gary was also the proud and loving father of Brittany Kay Beam and Justin Ross Beam. He worked as the Human Resources Manager for Patton’s, Inc. He loved the Lord, his family, and the North Carolina Tar Heels.
He is survived by his wife, Andrae Hines Beam of the home; a son, Justin Beam of the home; a daughter, Brittany Beam of the home; his mother, Nancy Beam of Vale; a brother, Matthew Beam and wife, Katherine of Charleston, SC; mother and father-in-law, John and Wanda Hines; brother-in-law, John Hines, Jr. of Lincolnton; and nieces and nephews; Jessica Hines, Austin Hines, Caleb Hines, Joshua Beam, David Beam, Josiah Beam, Seth Beam, and Annabeth Beam.
