Katherine Myrtice Tucker Perkins, age 58, 2217 Payseur Street in Maiden, died on Wednesday, July 16, 2014.

Her funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, 2014, at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Lynn officiating. Burial will follow in the Iron Station Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Perkins was born March 13, 1956, in Clarke County, GA, to the late James Edward and Rose Louise Sims Tucker. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Tim Perkins of the home; six daughters, Stephanie Craig and husband Harold of Lincolnton, Norma Biddix and husband Michael of Dallas, Carol Moody of Lincolnton, Paula Hanif and husband Jamie of Gastonia, Heather Moody of Athens, GA, Kimberly Moody of Granite Falls; one brother, Jim Tucker and wife Shannon of Flowery Branch, GA; four sisters, Judy Palmer and husband Billy of Athens, GA, Norma Peyton and husband R.O. of Watkinsville, GA, Carol Day of Nashville, TN, and Myrna Quarels of Watkinsville, GA; twelve grandchildren, Austen, Celeste, April, Haley, Riley, Kayla, Abby, Kaden, Malachi, Selena, Jeremiah, Devin; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and several step-grandchildren.
