Obituaries

Mr. Howard William Link, age 94, of 3284 Hoffman Acres Street in Lincolnton died on Friday, September 19, 2014.

His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at St. Dorothy’s Catholic Church with Father David Miller officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at Warlick Funeral Home following the recitation of the Rosary at 5:00 p.m..

Mr. Link was born March 23, 1920, in Ohio, to the late Curtis and Vera Link.  He was a conductor with the Norfolk-Southern Railroad.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Hauser Ilse Link of the home; four daughters, Sandy Shotton of Myrtle Beach, Rose Grosshandler of Zanesville, Ohio, Norma Boucher of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, Louise Minor of Danville, PA; fifteen grandchildren; four step children, Gail Van Dyke of Lynchburg, VA, Kenny Ilse of Lincolnton, Karen Hampel of Clarkston, MI and Paul Ilse of Atlanta, GA and their families.
