Reuben Eugene Kiser, Sr., age 86, of 125 Mt. Branch Road in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, October 1, 2014.
His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2014, at Landers Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Gerald Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Landers Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Kiser was born January 5, 1928, in Gaston county, to the late Luther S. and Rhoda Rash Kiser. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Rachel High Kiser. He retired from Carolina Freight Carriers.
He is survived by one daughter, Brenda Lail of Bessemer City; three sons, R.E. Kiser, Jr. of Lincolnton, Roger Kiser of Vale, and Dennis Kiser of Lincolnton; eight grandchildren, Ray Lail, Jr., Michael Lail, Cynthia Williams, Angela Ellis, Heather Coleman, Chelsea Kelly, Julia Tucker, and Amy Thompson; fourteen great-grandchildren, Britt Lail, Brittany Lail, Harley Lail, Jacqueline Lail, Scott Williams, Chris Williams, Shannon Williams, Ashley Williams, Dustin Hovis, Austin Ellis, Holden Kelly, Parker Kelly, Sierra Davis, and Jordan Shelton; and one great-great-grandson, Aiden Tyler Michael Hyde.
