Mr. Christopher Mark Hughes, age 42, of 1890 Arrowood Lane in Lincolnton died on Friday, October 3, 2014.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2014, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Brittain and Rev. Terry Rudisill officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. on Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Hughes was born May 17, 1972 in Lincoln County to Scarlett Elliott Mackie and the late John Robert Hughes. He worked in the furniture industry.
Survivors include one son, John Christian Hughes of Cleveland County; mother, Scarlette E. Mackie and husband Dale of Claremont; two sisters, Shelly Jordan and husband Mark of Lincolnton, Debbie Reep of Lincolnton; one step-brother, Brian Mackie of Conover; special friends, Wayne and Sheila Brittain of Iron Station and Kim Killian of Cleveland County; three nephews, Joshua Gilbert, Clint McCorkle, Greyson Mackie; one niece, Christina Drawdy and one great-niece, Ava Drawdy.
