Edna was one of the most beloved ladies. She was believed to be one of God’s angels who served her Lord faithfully as a preacher’s wife for over 57 years and after WL’s passing, she continued to serve as a Sunday School teacher and worked with mission and many other areas where she could help. She was always concerned for those who were suffering and in need. Even after her health failed she continued to serve as a prayer warrior for anyone who was going through hard times. She always put her Lord and Savior first in her life. Edna will be sorely missed, but heaven is a better place since her arrival there. She is now reacquainted with her husband who was her sweetheart and friend and her daughter, Linda who departed this earth much too soon. Much could be said about Edna, but her life was written on the hearts and lives of all those who knew her and she will be sorely missed.
Special thanks is extended to the wonderful and loving staff who took excellent care of Edna, as well as being her friends: Lisa Navey, Jerri McCurry, Doris Rankin, and Gail Edwards.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Memory of Linda Pitts Barkley, c/o Gaston College Lincoln Campus, 201 Highway 321 South,
