Obituaries

Deitra Meacham Chapman, age 67, of 1675 Lenora Circle in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, October 21, 2014.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2014, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Devine officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2014, at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Chapman was born on December 29, 1946, in Cleveland county, to Beatrice Meacham and the late Paul Franklin Meacham. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John Carlos Chapman. She was retired from Ethan Allen.

She is survived by her mother, Beatrice Meacham of Shelby; two sons, Tony Chapman and wife Renee of Lincolnton and Kevin Chapman and wife Pamela of Taylorsville; a daughter, Christy Harkey and husband Ben of Lincolnton; a brother, Paul Meacham, Jr. of Clearwater, FL; a sister, Paulette Bradley of Shelby; four grandchildren, T.J. Chapman and wife Allison, Mallory Sweet, Ethan Johnson, and Abi Harkey; and a great-grandson, Henry Chapman.
