Lena Pearl Grigg Martin, age 85, of Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, November 5, 2014.
Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2014, at McKendree United Methodist Church with Rev. Gregg Plott officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2014, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Martin was born November 15, 1928, in Lincoln county, to the late David Evan and Flettie Pendleton Grigg. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, James Harold Martin, brothers Hubert, Jack, Kenneth, Raymond, Everette, and sisters Louise and Margaret. She worked as a supervisor for Gibbs Industries.
She is survived by a son, Harold Dean Martin and wife Deedie of Maiden; two daughters, Theresa M. Beal of Maiden and Regina M. Digh and husband Phil of Dallas; seven grandchildren, Craig Beal, Micah Beal, Jonathan Martin, Courtney Martin, Matthew Milstead, Steven Milstead, and Michael Digh; and six great-grandchildren.
