Eddie Hester Britt, age 92, of 627 Blossom Hill Road in Lincolnton, died on Friday, November 28, 2014.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2014, at Covenant Bible Church with Rev. Mike Devine officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Britt was born October 1, 1922, in Oklahoma to the late Robert Eddie and Dollie Mae Bryant Britt. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Alice Elizabeth Houston Britt. He served in the United States Navy and then later worked as a salesman for Big A Auto Parts.
He is survived by a son, Bob Britt and wife Barbara of Lincolnton; daughter, Lora Vidmar and husband Chuck of Colorado; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
