Obituaries

Mrs. Carolyn Louise Brown Houser, age 76, of 465 Catsquare Road, Lincolnton died Saturday, December 6, 2014.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Anthony Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Dennis Bean, and Rev. Ken Faulkenberry officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at Anthony Grove Baptist Church.

Mrs. Houser was born on October 16, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Chester Herman Brown and Ruby Brown Madden.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Houser and her brother, Curtis Brown. She retired as a cook at the Brian Center in Lincolnton.

Mrs. Houser is survived by her companion, Rondell Robinson of the home; two sons, Perry Adams and wife, Tracy of Lincolnton, Barry Adams and wife, Marla of Lincolnton; one daughter, Sherrie Lovelace and husband, Ronnie of Lincolnton; one step-daughter, Vicki Woodruff and husband, Nick of Lincolnton; two sisters, Marlene Long and husband, Riley of South Carolina and Mickie Long and husband, Billy of South Carolina; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
