Mr. Robert Lemuel “Lum” Dyson, Jr., age 67, of Lincolnton, died on Monday, December 8, 2014.

His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, in the Warlick Funeral home Chapel with Rev. Robert Wise officiating. Burial will follow in the Wehunt Family Cemetery at North Brook Baptist Church with DAV military rites. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Dyson was born July 9, 1947, in Lincoln county, to the late Robert Lemuel Dyson, Sr. and Minnie Chapman Cronland. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and then later worked in field service for Duke Power. He was a member of the VFW and enjoyed golfing and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his son, Brent Dyson and wife Amy of Lincolnton; three grandsons, Nicholas, William, and Blakely Dyson; and sister, Lou Ann Lynn and husband David.
