Frances Dellinger Davis, age 77, of Iron Station, died on Friday, December 12, 2014.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, in the Amity Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Eric Reel officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mrs. Davis was born September 15, 1937, in Lincoln county, to the late Arvil Pinkey and Mattie Ann Smith Dellinger. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Clyde McClure Davis, a son Clyde Scott Davis, and brothers Paul and Bob Dellinger. She worked for Mohican Mills and in her spare time liked to sew, do gardening, and loved her flowers.
She is survived by her children, Cecelia Wright and husband Andrew of Beaufort, NC, Janice Barton and husband Tommy of Iron Station; daughter-in-law Carri Davis of Iron Station; sisters and brothers, Maxine Stamey of Florida, Margaret Dellinger of Biscoe, Katherine Beal of Lincolnton, Leonard Dellinger and Dwight Dellinger, both of Catawba county, and Gail Wilson of Lincolnton; seven grandchildren, Jesse and Matthew Wright, Jamie Stewart, Thomas Barton, Sallie McAllister, Lucas and Kyle Davis; and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Donita Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
