Obituaries

Lois Propst Willis, age 79, of 2729 Highland Drive in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, December 30, 2014.

Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Living Word Church in Maiden with Rev. Rick Haug officiating. Burial will follow in the Mays Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Willis was born May 5, 1935, in McDowell county, to the late Clarence and Flora Bryant Propst. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence W. Willis of the home; three daughters, Cathy W. Bumgarner and husband Ronald, Pam W. Caskey and husband Robin, and Cynthia W. Boyles and husband Jim, all of Lincolnton; one sister, Lillian Waldrop of Lincolnton; six grandchildren, Lisa Specht and husband Jason, Todd Bumgarner, Jacob Boyles, Caleb Boyles, Kendall Caskey, and Kandace Caskey; and three great-grandchildren, Evie Specht, and Thomas and Elijah Specht.
