Obituaries
Mr. Jerry Evan Culp, age 66, of 8158 Normandy Road in Denver, died Sunday, January 4, 2015.
His funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at Sharon Baptist Church Rev. G.W. Horne officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 pm on Tuesday at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mr. Culp was born May 14, 1948 in Rowan County to Betty Elium Culp and the late Hardin Culp. Jerry was preceded in death by daughter, Lori Elizabeth Culp and son Jeffery Wentz He was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Culp was retired from Duke Power where he was a supervisor at the Mcguire nuclear power plant.
He is survived by his wife, Rosie Talbert Culp of the home; two sons, Jeffrey Culp and wife Melissa of Charlotte, Jimmy Wentz of Lincolnton; two daughters, Sherry Alexander and husband Shane of Denver, Tammy Morrison and husband Doug of Vale; mother, Betty E. Culp of Salisbury; one brother, Benny Culp of Salisbury; two sisters, Diane Crow and Sharon Turner of Salisbury; aunt, Ruth Elium of Salisbury; eight grandchildren, Hardin Culp, William Culp, Gage Wentz, Avery Alexander, Storey Alexander, Chris Dellinger, Kisha Morrison, Natalie Morrow; six great-grandchildren.
