Obituaries

Mrs. Vada Sue Carpenter Taylor, age 88, of the Brian Center in Lincolnton and formerly of  Long Shoals Road, Lincolnton, died Saturday, January 17, 2015.

Her funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Covenant Bible Church with Rev. Mike Devine and Rev. Charles Ingle officiating.   The family will  recieve friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Taylor was born on December 31, 1926 to the late Roy and Lillian Mae Mosteller Carpenter.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Taylor.  She was retired from the clothing manufacturing industry.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her son, Randel Taylor and wife, Vivian of Lincolnton; two daughters, Deborah Petty of Shelby and Tammy Ballard and husband, Kenneth of Lincolnton; one sister, Ruth Hoots of Hendersonville;  six  grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Covenant Bible Church for the family, 2168 Gastonia Highway, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
