William Warren Daugherty

William Warren Daugherty, age 92, of 819 S. Aspen Street in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, January 25, 2015.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, in Forest Lawn Cemetery with DAV military rites. Rev. Jay Newland will officiate.
Mr. Daugherty was born March 23, 1922, in Putnam County, WV, to the late William Orion and Nancy Rayburn Daugherty. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Oldaker Daugherty. He served in the Army 30th Infantry during World War II and was D-Day survivor. He later worked as a dairy farmer and as a security guard.
He is survived by three sons, John Daugherty, William Daugherty, and Tim Daugherty and wife Belinda, all of Lincolnton; two daughters, Sharon Isenhour and husband Jeff, and Karen Galant and husband Larry, all of Gastonia; ten grandchildren; one step-grandson; seven great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandsons.
