John Edgar Byers, age 79, of 1551 Salem Church Road in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, January 25, 2015
His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Anita Sain officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:45 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service.
Mr. Byers was born January 24, 1936, in Lincoln county, to the late Carl and Sarah Carpenter Byers. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Claude Byers. He was a self-employed pattern maker.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Clark Byers of the home; a son, Mark Byers and wife Shana of Marvin, NC; four sisters, Isabelle Faulkner of Lincolnton, Ella Mae Ramsey of Crouse, Katie Williams and Catherine Keever, both of Lincolnton; and two grandchildren, John Ellison Byers and Kendall Leigh Byers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church, PO Box 676, Lincolnton, NC 28093.
