Obituaries

Cecil Alverson Proctor, age 82, of 3916 Will Proctor Street in Denver, died on Thursday, February 12, 2015.

Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 15, 2015, at Denver United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Johnsen and Rev. Tim Killian officiating. Burial will follow in the Denver Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2015, at Warlick Funeral Home.
 
Mrs. Proctor was born May 28, 1932, in McCormick County, SC, to the late Posey Franklin and Sarah Dodelle Mauldin Alverson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ivey Grey “Ike” Proctor, four brothers, and three sisters.  She enjoyed playing cards with her close friends as well as gardening, cooking, reading and sharing laughs with all her friends.

She is survived by four daughters, Theresa Hammitt and husband Ned  of Denver, Debra Stallings and husband David of Newton, Robin Dixon and husband Keith Wesson of Kings Mountain, Raye Lunceford and husband Brian of Denver; one sister, Gayle Willis of McCormick, SC; nine grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
