Eva Mae Brown Sherrill
( June 10, 1919 - February 17, 2015 )
Eva Mae Brown Sherrill, 95, passed into the loving arms of our Lord on February 17 at CMC Lincoln with family and friends by her side.
Eva was born on June 10, 1919 in McAdenville, NC to Edmund “Ed” Brown and Emma Price. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Pumpkin Center, Lincolnton NC.
Eva is survived by her two sons: James Sherrill Jr. and Russell Sherrill, four daughters: Nancy Spenser, Brenda Goodman, Caroleen Barnette, and Delores Poole, nineteen grandchildren: Deborah Johnson, Lisa Barron, Darlene Heafner, Tina Powell, Robert Thompson II, Rebecca Keeler, James Sherrill III, Loretta Pope, Billy Varner, Donna Wyatt, Ronnie Varner, Kevin Varner, Michael Varner, Terry Varner, Melissa Snyder, Teresa Garza, Matthew Barnette, Garrett Barnette, and Angela Bollinger, 40 Great-Grandchildren and 25 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband: James Sherrill Sr., daughters: Betty Thompson and Roxanne Sherrill, grandson: Jason Barnette, brothers: Adam Brown and Monroe Brown, sister: Johnsie Brown Arrowood.
Eva was a loving, kindhearted, charitable, amazing woman who loved her Lord and her family with all that was within her. She will be remembered with great affection and joy. Her passing has left a hole in our hearts that may never heal.
Family will receive visitation Sunday, February 22, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Warlick Funeral Home, 125 Dave Warlick Dr., Lincolnton, NC.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 23, 3:00 pm at Daystar Family Worship Center, 115 Industrial Park Rd., Lincolnton NC.
Graveside services immediately following at Macedonia Baptist Church, Hwy 150, Lincolnton, NC
