Sallie Mae Sherrill Caldwell

Sallie Mae Sherrill Caldwell, age 88, of Sherrill Farm Road in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, March 8, 2015.
Her funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at Asbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Ed Maddox, Rev. Anita Sain, and Rev. Earlynne Brantley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 3:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Caldwell was born September 20, 1926, in Lincoln county, to the late Henry F. and Ella Mae Rhyne Sherrill. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Ezell Jack Caldwell, a son Randy Jack Caldwell, brothers Sam Sherrill, Clarence Sherrill, George Sherrill, Robert Sherrill, and Van Sherrill, and sisters Nan Woodahl and Martha Powell. She worked as the cafeteria manager at Asbury School.
She is survived by two sons, Lanny Caldwell and wife Cindy, and Edward Caldwell and wife Nita, all of Lincolnton; two daughters, Carol Caldwell and husband Earl Cook and Lynn Caldwell, all of Lincolnton; four grandchildren, Haley Caldwell Shrum and husband Mark of Newton, Lacey Caldwell and fiancé Michael Madison, Leah Cook, and Shannon Alfaro and husband Ralph; step-granddaughter, Chelsea Cook; and three great-grandchildren, Kaison Shrum, Anniston Alfaro, and Karstin Alfaro.
