Barry Eugene "Dude" Wray
( September 4, 1950 - March 18, 2015 )
Mr. Barry Eugene “Dude” Wray, age 64, of 2993 Philadelphia Church Road in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, March 18, 2015.
His funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2015, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Jarrell officiating. Burial will follow in High Shoals Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Wray was born September 4, 1950, in Cleveland county, to the late Joe Andy and Margaret Louise Jones Wray. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and then later worked as a pipe fitter for MSS Solutions. Barry enjoyed fishing every Saturday night at Mirror Lake.
He is survived by his wife Patsy Hefner Wray of Lincolnton; a son Barry Wray, Jr. of Indonesia; five sisters, Peggy Lockridge of High Shoals, Sandra Kim of Virginia Beach, Janice Childers of Lincolnton, Kathy Dellinger and husband Larry of Lincolnton, and Donna Kitchings and husband Danny of Cherryville; two brothers, Bobby Wray and wife Geraldine of High Shoals and Buddy Wray and wife Sylvia of Lincolnton; four stepchildren, Richard Holman and wife Charity of Virginia, Wendy Richard and husband Todd of Vale, Alan Holman and Patrick Holman, both of Hickory; and seven grandchildren, including Bobby and Brandon Wray of the home.
Memorials may be made to Victory Grove Tabernacle, 457 Victory Grove Church Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
