Sarah Jane Hoyle Crosby
( June 18, 1935 - March 20, 2015 )
Mrs. Sarah Jane Hoyle Crosby, age 79, of Beam Lumber Road in Vale, died on Friday, March 20, 2015.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2015 at Reepsville Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Hull and Roger Self officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p. m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday night at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Crosby was born June 18, 1935, in Gaston County, to the late Garman Ess and Rose Lee Poteat Hoyle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Hoyle and one sister, Kathleen Dameron. Mrs. Crosby worked in the cafeteria with the Gaston County School System.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Howard Lee Crosby of the home, one brother, Allen Hoyle of Bessemer City; one son, Lee Crosby of
Cherryville; two daughters, Roxanne Crosby Farmsworth of Vale and Dianne Crosby Self of Dallas; seven grandchildren, Christy Low, Kelly Low, Steven Lackey, Taylor Self, Katelyn Self, Jason Self and Josh Self; nine great-grandchildren, Alex Bowman, Savannah Bowman, Nathaniel Lackey, Mitchell Lackey, Ethan Low, Amber Low, Kennedy Torres, Kyndal and Kaleb Self.
Memorials may be made to Crisis Pregnancy Center, 621 Clark Creek Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092 or to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
