John Crisley "J.C." Fox

John Crisley “J.C.” Fox, Sr., 76, of Lincolnton died Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas, NC.
His funeral will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton. The family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home .
Mr. Fox was born on December 14, 1938 in Morganton, NC and was the tenth child of the late James and Hannah Stiles Fox. He moved his family to Lincolnton in 1965, where he resided the remainder of his life. Mr. Fox was employed by Carolina Freight in Cherryville as a long line truck driver until his retirement. He was a member of the Masons and Shriners for over 25 years and attended the First Wesleyan Church in Lincolnton. In 2013, Mr. Fox was inducted into the Glen Alpine High School Sports Hall of Fame for his outstanding ability in football.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Glenda Bollinger Fox of the home; two daughters, Johnnie Lynn Fox of Lincolnton and Debbie Fox Harvey of Lincolnton; one son, John Crisley “Chris” Fox , Jr. of Lincolnton; two stepsons, Cecil “Monty” Woodruff of Lincolnton and Greg Woodruff ( and wife Carla) of Lincolnton; one sister, Lillian Harris of Morganton; two sister-in-laws, Vicki Bollinger of Lincolnton and Iris Fox of Morganton; one brother-in-law, Gary Bollinger ( and wife Lana) of Lincolnton; fifteen grandchildren: Michael Harvey, Linda Harvey, Kyle Fox, Aaron Fox, Allissa Woodruff, Christian Woodruff, Zachary Woodruff, Colby Lowe, Matthew Woodruff, Kevin Woodruff, Keith Woodruff, Kelly Woodruff, Kourtney Woodruff, Kourin Woodruff and Keary Sherbert; eight great-grandchildren and many other close family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Wesleyan Church, 115 Bonview Avenue, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
