Dixie Lynn Helderman Blackburn, age 58, of Dallas, NC died Monday, April 13, 2015.
Her funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Friday in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sandy Marks and Rev. Scott Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Alexis Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2015 at Warlick Funeral Home.
Dixie was born on April 20, 1956 in Gaston County and was the daughter of the late Miles H. and Evelyn Beaty Helderman. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Delores Ford and Joyce Stepp. Dixie worked as a paramedic with the Lincoln County EMS.
Survivors are her husband, Dan Blackburn of the home; one son, Robert “Nick” Sadler and wife, Angie of Alexis; one daughter, April Sadler Pope and husband, Corey of Huntersville; one brother, Jerry Helderman and wife, Gail of Alexis; one step-son, David Blackburn of Dallas; one step-daughter, Heather Meadows of Dallas; two sister-in-laws, Tina Nardoci and husband, Bruce, Barbara Blackburn; five grandchildren, Destiny McClure, Julia Meadows, Lana Meadows, Kenny Sadler and Jake Sadler.
Memorials may be made to the Robin Johnson Hospice House, 5005 Shepherds Way, Dallas, NC 28034.
