Christine Carol Leka Zimmerman

Christine Carol Leka Zimmerman, age 62, of 281 Ramano Drive in Iron Station, died on Wednesday, April 22, 2015.
Her memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2015, at Parkwood Baptist Church, 1729 E. Garrison Blvd in Gastonia, NC. Rev. Joey Denton will officiate. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Zimmerman was born December 29, 1952, in Dwarty, CA, to the late Alfred and Ruth Grimwood Leka. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Charles “Chuck” Zimmerman of the home; three daughters, Genia Z. Behrends and husband Rodney, and Lisa Zimmerman, all of McKinney, TX, and Kellie Zimmerman of Lincolnton; and three grandchildren, Rodney Zimmerman, Hannah Behrends, and Ryan Behrends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Avenue, Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28207.
