Obituaries

Mr. Gary Donald Huss, age 70, of 2289 Shoal Road in Crouse, died on Sunday, April 26, 2015.

His funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at Leonard’s Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Bost, Rev. Barry Devine and Rev. Jaie Warlick officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Huss was born October 22, 1944, in Lincoln County, to the late Noah Carse and Sarah Catherine Reep Huss.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Boyce Huss, Roger Huss, Johnny Huss and two sisters, Thelma Hoyle and Blanche Black.  Mr. Huss was retired from insurance sales.

Survivors include his wife, Billie Gardner Huss of the home; one son, Marty Donald Huss of Crouse; one daughter, Wendy Fitch and husband Brian of Cherryville; four brothers, Harry Huss of Crouse, Bennett Reep, N.C. Huss, Jr. of Lincolnton, Edwin Huss of Crouse; three sisters, Christine Dixon of Crouse, Mable Greene of Shelby and Marie Sigmon of Cherryville; four grandchildren, Morgan Fitch, Madeline Fitch, Levi Huss and Raleigh Huss.
