Obituaries

Rebecca Ann Gantt Lynn Stamey, age 68, of 2367 Story Street in Lincolnton, died on Friday, May 1, 2015.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2015, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Earlynne Brantley and Brad Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2015, at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Stamey was born July 21, 1946, in Lincoln County, to the late John Walter and Ruth Hoffman Gantt.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Malcom “Moose” Gantt. She worked for Lincoln County Schools.

She is survived by her husband, Julius Wayne Stamey of the home; three daughters, Ginger Lynn Dodgin and husband Kenny, and Kristin Stamey Ricker and husband Jeff, all of Lincolnton, and Jina Danielle Stamey and friend Ashley Clifton of Wake Forest, NC; a son, Jerry Reid Lynn and friend Henry Tramel of Hickory; sister, Brenda Birt of Gastonia; three grandchildren, Devin Ricker, Dalton Ricker, and Delanie Ricker, all of Lincolnton; and five step-grandchildren.
