Betty Jones Mangus

Betty Jones Mangus, age 77, of the Brian Center, died on Wednesday, May 6, 2015.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2015, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Beth Sexton officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Ms. Mangus was born May 4, 1938, in Lenoir County, to the late Hubert Lee and Lissie Curry Jones. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Anthony Maldonado. She worked as a hotel manager.
She is survived by her children, Maggie Maldonado Richard and husband Jeff of Vale, Eddie Maldonado and wife Laura of Florida, Orrene Somerville and husband Slim of Tennessee, Tyrene Donahue and husband Mike of Florida; fourteen grandchildren; and five sisters, Barbara Turner of Dover, NC, Dorothy Pesina of Miami, FL, Margaret Ritter of Catawba, NC, Lucille Whitaker of Fountain, NC, and Nancy Bell of Farmville, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Donita Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
