Obituaries

Catherine “Cathy” Jean Goude Moore, age 65, of 1300 Egypt Court, Dallas, NC died Friday, May 15, 2015.

Her funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Friendly Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Harris officiating. Her body will lie in state for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Hollywood Cemetery in Gastonia.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Moore was born on September 9, 1949 and was the daughter of the late Leonard C. and Eva Jones Goude. She was also preceded in death by her husband Robert Moore, Jr.  She was a retired textile employee.

Survivors are three sons, Gene Cheshire, Jr. and wife Angie, of Hickory, Darrell Cheshire and wife Shelly, of Dallas, NC and Christopher Cheshire of Dallas, NC; two daughters, Cindy Pope and husband Wayne, of the home, Sonya Charles and husband Johnny, of Mt. Holly; one brother, Ivey Wayne Goude and wife Wilma,  of  Lowell; two sisters, Jo Covey and husband Alex, of Florida , Terri Andersen and husband John, of Huntersville; sixteen grandchildren, Nick Parker, Darian Gilpin, Kaitlin Cheshire, Jennifer Lowman, David Gibbs, Alex Cheshire, Darrell Cheshire, Jr., Steven Cheshire, Emily Cheshire, Andy Cheshire, Shannan Lowman, Wayne Pope, III, Courtney Pope, Dustin Michael, Brandon Michael, Johnny Charles, Jr.; five great-grandchildren, Boyce Evan Pope, Ellie Eden Pope, Chloe Ward, Greg Lowman and Dylan Lowman.
