June Ann Read, age 71, of the Heath House in Lincolnton, died on Thursday, May 21, 2015.
Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at Exodus Baptist Church with Rev. Joseph Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Ms. Read was born July 1, 1943, in West Palm Beach, Florida to the late Frank R and Sarah Mae Johnson Read. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Gerald Lovelace, a daughter Tammy Engle, and a brother, Frank “Sonny Boy” Read. She worked in textiles.
She is survived by three sons, Randy Lovelace of Vale, Wayne Lovelace of Maiden, and Scott Lovelace of Stanley; three daughters, Wendy Ann Martin of Lincolnton, Lisa Goins of Vale, and Karen Connor of Maiden; twin sister Jean Henry of Spring, TX; sister Christine Levins of Florida; a special granddaughter, Savanna Heafner, along with 12 other grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
