Hoyle Lee Whitworth

Mr. Hoyle Lee Whitworth, age 77, of Charlotte, died on Tuesday, May 26, 2015.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2015, at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Dr. Gerald Bearden officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Gardens in Mt. Holly. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Whitworth was born December 23, 1937, in Cleveland County, to the late John O. and Madge Beam Whitworth. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Sue McClure Whitworth. Hoyle served in the United States Army and then later worked as a location manager for Winn-Dixie Supermarkets. He was also a member of West Gate Grand Lodge #738.
He is survived by a son, Hoyle L. Whitworth, II, of Charlotte; and his grandpuppy, Colt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Charlotte Region, 1420 E. 7th Street, Charlotte, NC 28204.
