Raymond Roy Michael

Raymond “Roy” Michael, age 64, of 414 S. Poplar Street in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, June 7, 2015.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2015, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church with Pastor Rose Erickson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 on Friday, June 12, 2015, in the Parrish Hall of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
Mr. Michael was born January 14, 1951, in Pahokee, FL, to the late John Davis and Annie Mae Davis Michael. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Barbara Michael. Roy served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and then later worked as a lineman for the City of Lincolnton Electrical Department.
He is survived by his wife, Monica Tschabrun Michael of the home; two sons, Joshua Michael and wife Rebekah of Lincolnton, and Jeremy Michael and wife Dawn of Mt. Holly; one brother, J.D. Michael and wife Carol of Black Mountain, NC; one sister, Mary Lou Lawrence and husband Donald of Chiefland, FL; two grandchildren, Brooke and Blake Michael; and his beloved English bulldog, Mack.
Memorials may be made to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 315 N. Cedar Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092, or to the Melanoma Research Foundation at melanoma. org.
