Richard Eugene Jackson, Sr.

Richard Eugene Jackson, Sr., age 76, of 2543 Hovis Road in Lincolnton, died on Monday, June 8, 2015.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Gaston Memorial Park with Chris Faile officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mr. Jackson was born August 2, 1938, in Catawba County, to the late Howard Marcus and Gladys Pearl Tutherow Jackson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother Ralph Jackson, and three sisters Loretta Reynolds, Vicky Peeler, and Linda Kiser. He worked as an overhauler in textiles.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel Cline Jackson of the home; two sons, Richard Eugene Jackson, Jr. of Bessemer City, and David Wayne Jackson and wife Lisa of Belmont; a daughter, Lori Faile and husband Chris of Lincolnton; four brothers, Larry Jackson and wife Pat, Randy Jackson and wife Vicky, all of Lincolnton, Blair Jackson of Gastonia, and Ronnie Jackson and wife Dorothy of Lincolnton; two sisters, Kathy Homesley and husband Mike, and Donna Jackson, all of Lincolnton; and nine grandchildren, Lindsey Jackson, Craig Jackson, Zackary Jackson, Ashley and Bobby West, Caleb, Alex, Aaron, and Connor Faile.
