Lawrence William Willis

Lawrence William Willis, age 79, of 2729 Highland Drive in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, June 9, 2015.
His funeral service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2015, at Living Word Church in Maiden with Rev. Rick Haug officiating. Burial will follow in the Mays Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:15 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Willis was born October 7, 1935, in Catawba County, and preceded in death by his wife Lois Willis and by his parents the late Ira Willis and Belzie Caldwell Willis. He worked in textiles before retiring.
He is survived by three daughters, Cathy Bumgarner and husband Ronald, Pam Caskey and husband Robin, Cynthia Boyles and husband Jim, all of Lincolnton; six grandchildren, Lisa Specht and husband Jason, Todd Bumgarner, Jacob Boyles, Caleb Boyles, Kendall Caskey, and Kandace Caskey; three great-grandchildren, Evie, Thomas, and Elijah Specht; two brothers, TD Willis of Maiden and Bobby Willis of Maiden; two sisters, Shirley Canipe of Catawba and Patsy Holland of Newton.
Memorials may be made to Living Word Church Building Fund, 923 Island Ford Road, Maiden, NC 28650.
