Margaret Muriel Hill Thomas

Margaret Muriel Hill Thomas, age 91, of Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, June 9, 2015.
A graveside service with military rites will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2015, at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Charles Ingle officiating. At other times the family will be at the home of her daughter, Nita Caldwell, of Lincolnton.
Mrs. Thomas was born July 16, 1923, in Gaston County, to the late William Martin and Lula Allen Hill. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters. She served in the United States Army during World War II.
She is survived by a daughter, Nita Caldwell and husband Ed of Lincolnton; two stepsons, Gerald Thomas and Bill Thomas, both of Marion; one brother, Gene Hill of Gastonia; granddaughter, Shannon Alfaro and husband Ralph of Lincolnton; two great-granddaughters, Anniston Alfaro and Karstin Alfaro; and a number of step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
