Dollie Ledford Carpenter

Dollie Ledford Carpenter, age 86, of 1302 Hill Road in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, June 16, 2015.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 19, 2015, at Covenant Bible Church with Pastor Mike Devine officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Carpenter was born January 31, 1929, in Cleveland County, to the late C.E. and Essie Padget Ledford. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Carpenter. She retired from textiles.
She is survived by a son, Steve Carpenter and wife Martha of Lincolnton; two grandchildren, Lisa Beard and husband Marty and Mindy West and husband Billy; four great-grandchildren, Jordy and Dylan Beard and Lauren and Brett West; and one step-grandson, Chris Byers and wife Mary.
