Lawrence Edward "L.E." Payseur, Jr.

Mr. Lawrence Edward Payseur, Jr., age 84, of Lincolnton, died at home peacefully on Wednesday, June 17, 2015.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2015, at River View Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Brown officiating. The body will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2015, at Warlick Funeral Home.
L.E. Payseur was born September 4, 1930, in Lincoln County, to the late Lawrence E. Payseur, Sr. and Mary Hoffman Payseur. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was co-owner of PWA Builders.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Carpenter Payseur of the home; two sons, Lawrence “Ed” Payseur, III and wife Sandra of Seneca, SC and Phillip S. Payseur and wife Wendy of Lincolnton; two daughters, June Shiver of Dallas and Belinda Butler and husband Eric of Lincolnton; two sisters, Marie Smith and LaVon Keener, both of Lincolnton; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092, or to River View Baptist Church, 2230 Riverview Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
