Mary Jeanette Ari
( January 24, 1932 - June 27, 2015 )
Mary Jeanette Ari, age 83, of 300 Labans Lane in Lincolnton, died on Saturday, June 27, 2015.
Her funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Stanley Spence and Rev. Mike Devine officiating. Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Ari was born January 24, 1932, in Sumter County, SC to the late Charles Calhoun and Mittie Geddings Brownlee. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Abdullah Necip Ari. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by a son, Hilmi Ari and wife Tina of Lincolnton; daughter, Lale Ari and friend Robert Rainwater of Lincolnton; sister, Betty McElrath and husband Mac of Lincolnton; four grandchildren, Ashley Ari Taule and husband Nathan of Charlotte, Kirstin Hogan and husband John of Jacksonville, FL, John Thomas Ari of Lincolnton, and Adrean Necip Ari of Lincolnton; and six great-grandchildren, Luke Brighton Wesson, Calista Taule, Andon Taule, Jared Taule, Dominick Hogan, and Haileigh Hogan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 201 Robin Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092, or to the Alzheimer Association, 1901 Brunswick Avenue, Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28207.
