Mary Haynes Hedgpeth

Mary Haynes Hedgpeth, age 74, of 154 Rash Road in Lincolnton, died on Saturday, June 27, 2015.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at Anthony Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Dennis Bean and Rev. Ken Faulkenbury officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Hedgpeth was born July 1, 1940, in Lincoln County, to the late Russell and Ella Scronce Haynes. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Avery Hedgpeth. She retired from Rhyne Mills where she worked as a doffer.
She is survived by three sons, James Paul Hedgpeth and John Russell Hedgpeth, both of Lincolnton, and Boyce Lee Hedgpeth of Bessemer City; three daughters, Patricia H. Prather of Cherryville, Brenda H. Boston of Crouse, and Crystal H. Yarbrough of Lawndale; three brothers, Ed Haynes, Ray Haynes, and Bill Haynes, all of Lincolnton; four sisters, Kathy Hedgpeth and Kay Hughes, both of Linciolnton, Betty Griggs of Georgia, and Junie Ledford of Lincolnton; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
