James Leroy Wright

Mr. James Leroy Wright, age 63, of 1889 Hagers Point Lane in Denver, died on Wednesday, July 1, 2015.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 6, 2015, at Boger City Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Redding officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Wright was born January 13, 1952, in Davidson County, to the late Joseph Leroy and Mildred Lackey Wright. He retired after 30 years from CommScope where he was the Executive Senior Vice President of Human Resources. Mr. Wright was a1970 graduate of Lexington High School and Appalachian State University Class of 1976. He was an active member of the Catawba Valley Hospital Board and CommScope Credit Union Board. He was a past member of the Catawba County School Board.
He is survived by his wife, Pam Abernathy Wright of the home; one brother, David Wright and wife Kathy of Lexington; a step-daughter, Victoria Morris and husband Billy of Lincolnton; two sons, Brad Wright and wife Faith of Hickory, and Eric Wright of Newton; and five grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Boger City Baptist Church Building Fund, 2201 E. Main Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092, or to Hospice Charlotte Region, 1420 E. 7th Street, Charlotte, NC 28204.
