Beauford Leonard Payseur
( April 9, 1933 - July 1, 2015 )
Mr. Beauford Leonard Payseur, 82, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on July 1, 2015. His family was blessed to have such an extraordinary man in their life. He will especially be remembered for his dedication, commitment, and words of wisdom to his family and anyone who ever came in contact with him. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and especially loved his BB red bantums. Throughout his working career, he was a mechanic and enjoyed working at Kiser Chevrolet and Gaston County Schools at the bus garage before retiring to spend more time with his beloved family.
His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2015, at Webbs Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Spencer and Rev. Darrell Bost officiating. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 3, 2015, at Warlick Funeral Home.
He leaves behind a loving wife of 55 years, Jessie Reynolds Payseur, his children, Janice and husband Richard Rhyne, Gary Payseur and girlfriend Tracy Nolen, Teresa and husband Robert Carnes; mother-in-law Edna Reynolds; sister Frances and husband Harvey Alexander; brother Clyde and wife Muriel Payseur; grandchildren, Greg and wife Beverly Rhyne, Melody and husband Dwayne Brooks, Scottie Mincey, Joshua Mincey, Jessica Mincey, and Daniel Payseur; great-grandchildren, Zachary Rhyne, Kimberly Rhyne, Makayla Cogdill, Breanna Brooks, and Savanna Brooks; sister-in-law, Dorothy Payseur; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother Vernie and Leonard Payseur, sisters Dorothy and husband Ray Terrace, Ola and husband Johnny Ross, and brother James Payseur.
The family would like to especially thank Gaston Hospice for their assistance.
