Jennie Elithaia Smith Wedlund

Jennie Elithaia Smith Wedlund, age 65, of 1062 Mansion Drive in Lincolnton, died on Saturday, July 25, 2015.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Macon Ballard officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wedlund was born December 18, 1949, in Gaston County, to the late Roy Matthew and Vina Lee Smith. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Ann Ward Morgan. She worked as a manager for Bruegger’s Bagels.
She is survived by her husband, Clayton Rudy Wedlund of the home; two sons, Paul Wayne Ward and wife Cynthia, and James Roy Johnson and wife Patricia, all of Lincolnton; five stepdaughters, Cindy Peterson, Tami Young and husband Harold, and Christina Hotchkiss and husband Terry, all of Lincolnton, Colleen Heath of Iron Station, and Bernadine Heartman and husband Darrell of Fallston; a sister, Dot Henry of Jacksonville, FL; a brother, Peewee Smith of Gastonia; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
