Arzie Lee McAllister Stroupe, age 87, of 4183 Asbury Church Road in Lincolnton, died on Thursday, August 13, 2015.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 16, 2015, at Boger City Wesleyan Church with Rev. Jim Schall, Rev. Dick Whitener, and Rev. J.V. Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2015, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stroupe was born June 1, 1928, in Lincoln County, to the late Horace S. and Willie Ada Reep McAllister. She worked in textiles.
She is survived by her husband, Earl Stroupe, of the home; three sons, Ronald Stroupe, Ray Stroupe and wife Pamela, and Clifford Stroupe and wife Debbie, all of Lincolnton; two brothers, Marshall McAllister of Vale and John McAllister of Lincolnton; four sisters, Dot Whitesides of Charlotte, Katie Sigmon of Denver, Bertha Harbinson of Maiden, and Edith McAllister of Lincolnton; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Catawba Regional Hospice, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658, or to Boger City Wesleyan Church, 2803 E. Highway 27, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
