M.S. Heavner

M.S. (Moses Seth) Heavner, age 89, of Carolina Care Center in Cherryville, and formerly of Lincolnton, died on Thursday, August 20, 2015.
His funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at Bethphage Lutheran Church with Pastor Fred Mitschke officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 3:45 p.m. in the fellowship hall prior to the service.
Mr. Heavner was born August 14, 1926, in Lincoln County, to the late Adolphus and Sarah Beam Heavner. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Polly Sherrill Heavner. He was a school principal for 34 years before retiring with Lincoln County Schools. He was a World War II veteran having served in the Army. He was a lifelong member of Bethphage Lutheran Church.
He is survived by a son, Joel D. Heavner and wife Bambi of Lincolnton; two daughters, Lisa Jan Brady and husband Kevin of Sherrills Ford and LouAnn Huffman and husband Jeff of Denver; grandchildren, Seth Heavner and wife Jeana, Kirk Heavner and wife Tara, Joanna Hovis and husband Matt, Collin and Austin Brady, Fallon and Carley Huffman; and great-grandchildren, Miles, Brennan, and Clarke Heavner.
We would like to extend our thanks to the staff at Carolina Care, Peak Resources, and Cleveland County Hospice.
