Albert Anthony Whitener

Mr. Albert Anthony Whitener, age 67, of Carriage Lane in Lincolnton, died on Monday, August 24, 2015.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2015, in Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Father David Miller officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Whitener was born January 18, 1948, in Lincoln County, to the late Jacob and Eva Goforth Whitener. He worked as a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ahola Whitener, of the home; three daughters, Tracie Heavner of Greensboro, Jodi Stoklasa of Lincolnton, and Dionne Sullivan and husband Patrick of Illinois; one son, Troy Venhorst and wife Sara of Montana; three brothers, Buddy Whitener, Terry Whitener, and Robert Whitener, all of Lincolnton; two sisters, Virginia Yoder of Columbia, SC and Eleanor Ramseur of Lincolnton; ten grandchildren, Brooke, Stephanie, Alec, Max, Cole, Corbin, Sabrina, Hailey, Sadie, and Tinley; and one great-granddaughter, Norah Grace.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
