Everette Ward Houser

Everette Ward Houser, age 87, of 1934 Leonards Fork Church Road in Crouse, died on Sunday, September 27, 2015.
His funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at Bethphage Lutheran Church with Rev. Fred Mitschke officiating. The body will lie in state from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Houser was born October 7, 1927, in Lincoln County, to the late Edney M. and Katie Reep Houser. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Juanita Thornburg Houser, a son Tim Houser, and brothers David Houser and Jason Houser.
He is survived by two sisters, Ruby Sain of Vale and Carolyn Lackey and husband Frank of Statesville; three sisters-in-law, Inez Starr, Peggy Heavner, and Mable Houser, all of Lincolnton; a grandson, Brandon Houser and wife Victoria of Lincolnton; three great-grandchildren, Zachary Houser, Colin Houser, and Braydon Houser; and numerous nieces and nephews, including special nephew Jamie Houser. The family would also like to acknowledge his dear friends, Kraig and Jennifer Hubner and Tommy and Nettie Houston.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Bethphage Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 3440 Highway 182, Lincolnton, NC 28092, or to Catawba Regional Hospice, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.
