Margaret Poovey Blanton

Mrs. Margaret Poovey Blanton, age 87, of Hillside Drive, Lincolnton died Saturday, October 3, 2015.
Her funeral will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2015 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Blanton was born on March 2, 1928 in Lincoln County to the late Perry and Nettie Pate Poovey. She was also preceded in death by her husband Oscar Blanton, two brothers, Walter Poovey and Clarence Poovey and one sister, Bonnie Crouse. Mrs. Blanton was a member of the First Wesleyan Church of Lincolnton for more than fifty years.
She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Dismukes and husband, Joe of Cherryville, Susan Oliver and husband, Jim of Mooresville, Donna Lail and husband, Steve of Lincolnton; five grandchildren, Tim Dismukes and wife, Noelle, Pam Smith, Bradley Canipe and wife, Melissa, Christopher Lail , Katie Lail and fiancé, Will Earman; five great-grandchildren, Piper Canipe, George Dismukes, Charlie Dismukes, Grayson Dismukes and Ella Smith.
Memorials may be made to the First Wesleyan Church Van Fund, 115 Bonview Avenue, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
