Brady Jason "Butch" Hinson

Brady Jason (Butch) Hinson (66), passed away at his home on October 5, 2015. Butch was born on July 19, 1949, to the late Brady James Hinson and Vivian Osborne Hinson. He is survived by his daughter, Dondra Hinson Ballard and her husband, Randy, of Mt. Holly, NC, and two sisters, Jane H. Hill and her husband, Larry, of Chatanooga, Tennessee, and Barbara H. Furr of Locust, NC.
He was known as Papa Butch to his three grandchildren, Laura, Macy, and Scott. His nieces and nephews recall many fun times with their uncle: Barry Hill, wife Lynda, and Ryan Hill of Beaver Creek, Ohio; Larissa Jenkins, husband Dr. Mike Chance and Piper of Panama City Beach, Florida; Jimmy Furr and Brandon Furr of Locust, NC.
Butch graduated from West Stanly High School in 1967 and immediately enlisted in the Navy serving until 1969. At the end of his Navy career he attended CPCC and pursued a degree in Refrigeration and HVAC. He found his niche in Refrigeration and HVAC resulting in a life-long career working with Harris Teeter for 17 years. In 1989, Butch fulfilled his goal of opening and very successfully operating his own company, Carolina Comfort Systems, Inc, until his death.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Warlick Funeral Home in Lincolnton, NC. The service will be Friday, October 9, at 11:00 a.m., in the Warlick Chapel. Visitation will precede the service one hour at 10:00 a.m. Internment will follow at Locust Baptist Church Cemetary, Locust, NC at approximately 2:00 p.m.
