Mr. Stuart George Diehl, age 73, of Lincolnton, died on Sunday, October 11, 2015.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Warlick Funeral Home
Mr. Diehl was born December 23, 1942 in Freeport, Illinois, to Harlan John Diehl and the late Vola Mae Mowen Diehl. He was an assistant principal at Lincolnton High School and East Lincoln Middle School. He was also an avid fisherman, beekeeper, and a master woodcraftsman.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Gibson Diehl of the home; two daughters, Jody Cox and Julie Faulconer, both of Florida; a son, Russell Diehl and wife Marisa of Arizona; six grandchildren, Allyson, Katie, Julia, Travis, Jonas, and Nora; two great-granddaughters; a brother, Greg Diehl of Arizona; and his father, Harlan Diehl of Arizona.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Charlotte Region, 1420 E. 7th Street, Charlotte, NC 28204.
